De UNVR biedt ondersteunt 15 camera's in 4K kwaliteit of 50 camera's in HD kwaliteit tot en met 30 dagen opslag. De NVR beschikt over 4 drives waar harde schijven in gezet kunnen worden eenvoudig via de frontpanel van het apparaat. Maximale capaciteit per harde schijf 8TB per stuk. De UniFi Protect network video recorder is eenvoudig te beheren via de UniFi Video Protect controller software. De opnamen/livestream zijn altijd te benaderen vanaf een desktop computer of mobiel apparaat (android of iOS) verbonden met het internet.
